In page “Where is played and leagues” we told about biggest ice hockey leagues, this page tells about countries going against each other in ice hockey. International hockey is played in three different competitions witch are Ice Hockey World Championships, Olympics and World Cup. Championships are every year and they aren’t rated that high as World Cup and Olympics witch are only kept every fourth year. Olympics and Championships are run by International Ice Hockey Federation (IIFH) and World Cup is run by National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA). Championships include 16 teams, Olympics has 12 teams and World Cup has 8 teams. Since year 2000 the best countries have been: Canada, USA, Finland, Russia, Sweden, Czech Republic.
